Необходимые инструменты и условия

  1. Компьютер (ОС Windows XP/Vista/7);
  2. Оригинальный, неповрежденный кабель MicroUSB;
  3. Скачать и установить фирменную программу сайта — ADB RUN ;
  4. Скачать и установить драйвер HTC;
  5. Включить отладку по USB на Android;
  6. Скачать кастомное TWRP Recovery HTC ONE M9 для своей модели HTC One M9;
  7. Скачать архив-обновление UPDATE-SuperSU.zip для получения Root прав.

Инструкция получения Root HTC One M9

1. Архив-обновление UPDATER-SuperSU.zip (не распаковывая, в исходном виде) переместить в корень памяти смартфона;

2. Перевести смартфон HTC One M9 в режим Fastboot:

Вариант 1 (войти в bootloader)

Выключить смартфон и зажать кнопку Громкость Вниз и ВКЛ/ВЫКЛ

Вариант 2 (войти в bootloader)

Подключить к компьютеру HTC One M9, запустить программу ADB RUN и перейти и выбрать в меню Reboot Device -> Reboot Bootloader

Вариант 1 (как прошить TWRP Recovery)

Запустите программу Adb RUN и перейдите в меню Fastboot ->Recovery, положите скачанный файл xxxxxxx.img (вместо xxxxxx имя файла) в отрывавшееся окно, закройте его после чего смартфон прошьется и нажмите Enter

Вариант 2 (как прошить TWRP Recovery)

  • Файл xxxxxxx.img (вместо xxxxxx имя файла) переместить в C:/adb/progbin
  • перевести смартфон в режим bootloader
  • В программе Adb Run перейти в меню Manual -> ADB
  • написать команду fastboot flash recovery xxxxxxx.img (вместо xxxxxx имя файла)


Если у вас появилось сообщение в командной строке:

fastboot

а) Возможно у Вас не установлен драйвер или необходимо его переустановить

б) Смартфон не в режиме bootloader и стоит заново перезгарузить смартфон

4. Перевести смартфон в режим Recovery (перевести bootloader ->bootloader ->recovery)

5. Установить данный архив-обновление UPDATE-SuperSU.zip из меню Recovery;

6. Перезагрузить смартфон. Root права получены!

Получить S-OFF на HTC

Если перед вами стал вопрос о получение Root, то компания HTC сделала большой успех в том чтобы этого не допустить! Посудите сами вначале вам нужно , на смартфон и после этого вам будет необходимо разлочить системный раздел (/system) для того чтобы вы могли заменить какие либо файлы, удалить приложения или выполнить модернизацию. It has been reported that HTC One M9 European versions went under some serious update especially when it came to the camera department the smartphones have undergone a substantial update. Most of the changes were made in automatic exposure part of M9’s camera to keep the pictures bright and vibrant so that they don’t lose their real charm; the updates also worked on the low light photography and worked on reducing the noise and blur.

To see how much an update brings change in photography we did some simultaneous comparison and clicked several photos both before and after the update. Let us take a closer look at what we discovered.

DAY TIME PHOTOGRAPHY:

One of the most annoying problem with M9’s camera was that when on auto mode pictures were clicked in good lighting the auto exposure did not work certainly well and that resulted in upheaval contrast and sharpness because most of the times the auto exposure completely went beyond the limits losing the contrast leading to a bad shot. However one could deal with this issue by manually tweaking the settings and exposure, customizing the mode but the bottom line is when most of the smartphones in this price range can click better shots in auto mode then why not HTC one M9?

Below are some pictures clicked before and after the firmware update, to get the authentic results both of the camera had been set to default settings. The pictures on left are taken with new firmware and right ones are with the older version.

Generally, both new and old firmware delivered almost same pictures when clicked in auto mode. Flipping immediately between the photos from one to the other the new firmware appears to be more accurate in picking the white balance , and the photos looked a touch more honed when we zoomed in on them. A few photos were same even before and after the two firmware renditions. even with the new firmware the One M9’s moderately low element range still has a capacity to wash pictures out, despite everything we wish there was an auto HDR mode accessible in view of this.

NIGHT TIME PHOTOGRAPHY:

M9 lacks OIS i.e. Optical Image Stabilizer that is the reason as to why it does not have much room when it comes to low light photography. Shooting in auto mode with minimal accessible light - extending from a room in shade to outside low light particularly night time or evening scenes - yielded vastly improved results with the updated firmware. In every picture except one photograph articles were crisper with far less obscure and commotion, which was especially clear when zooming in on the photographs. Much the same as daytime shots the white balanced appeared to be imperceptibly better. However the camera results have improved a lot but it still cannot stand in any competition against LG G4 and Samsung.

The firmware update has been made in some of the phones while others are still left and while the results have been vastly improved day time shots are much vibrant with sharp contrast however the night time photography is still struggling but comparatively to the older firmware it has improved a lot, the reduction in noise and blur is pretty apparent when the pictures clicked from both the firmware are put side by side. It is still not enough to compete with the leading giants in the smartphone industry to date.

Prerequisites

1. Verify your device for compatibility. The listed firmware is compatible with HTC One M9 only.

2. Enable USB Debugging on your device. To do so, go to Settings>About Phone> Tap on the Build Number several times until you get a new Developer Options in theSettings. Open Developer Options and enable USB Debugging from there. Trust the connection by allowing it when you connect it to your PC for the first time.

3. Make sure you have latest device drivers setup on your PC for a better connection. Get it from the official page of your device manufacturer.

Method 1: Update HTC One M9 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow with RUU EXE File

If you have the RUU.EXE file, then this is the recommended method and the flash process will be comparatively easy. Download the latest available RUU.exe file from above for your device. To successfully flash it, make sure you have the latest HTC drivers or the HTC Sync installed. Connect your phone to your computer and launch the RUU.EXE file. Follow the instruction from the RUU program.

Method 2: Update HTC One M9 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow with RUU ZIP Using Fasboot

Step 1: Go through this procedure only if you have the RUU.zip file.

Step 2: Download the RUU zip file. You don’t need to extract the file, just transfer the file to your PC where you can easily locate it.

Step 3: Make sure you setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC. Trust the connection: Check Always allow from this computer when you plug in the device for the first time.

Step 4: Now turn off your device completely and unplug it from your PC.

Step 5: Boot into the bootloader or Fastboot mode. To do so, turn off your device and then press and hold volume down + the power button simultaneously for a few seconds. When you see the bootloader screen, connect your device to the PC using a USB cable.(Choose Fastboot if option is available) For an alternative method look at the end of this method.

Step 6: Navigate to the location where you have placed the RUU file. Rename the recovery file to a simple one, like htc_m9_ruu.img. While the folder with htc_m9_ruu.img file is open, hold the shift key on the keyboard and right-click on an empty space and select “Open command window here” option to launch a cmd window.

Step 7: Now issue the following command in the command prompt to check your device connectivity

Step 8: Now flash the RUU. Issue the following command for that.

Htc_fastboot flash zip .zip

Step 9: Now the firmware will start installing.

Once you have installed the OTA, you can now enjoy your new firmware. Alternatively, while, on Linux or Mac OS, you can issue “./htc_fastboot flash zip .zip” command to flash the RUU zip file.

How to boot into bootloader or Fastboot mode using ADB

You can also issue the following command through your cmd or terminal, while connected to the PC, in order to boot into the bootloader. First setup ADB and Fastboot environment from requirements and then follow instructions till step 5. Once into the command prompt or terminal, issue the following command:

Adb reboot bootloader

Method 3: Update HTC One M9 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow with RUU ZIP File

Here is an alternative method for installing the RUU.zip file.

Step 1: First, rename the RUU zip file to “2PQ9IMG.zip”, save it to the root of your external SDcard.

Step 2: Reboot the phone into bootloader mode. Refer to the method one in order to boot into bootloader.

Step 3: Now it will start scanning the SDcard and detect the 2PQ9IMG.zip file.

Step 4: When asked, “Do you want to start update?”.

Step 5: Use your volume Up/Down key to start or cancel the flash.

Step 6: Wait for the process to complete and don’t turn off your phone during the flash.
